The Special Gift

"The Special Gift" Time is going down quickly. Who am I? What is my purpose on this planet?  me. planet. creation.  I feel incredible being part of this beautiful creation. This is a creation with a purpose. It is a missionary creation. It has all the instruments to facilitate actions. Actions for me are the Karmas. The transactions. To be made most carefully. They must be conscious karmas. But intellect the egoist fools us into performing karmas based on Buddhi. So the quest is to traverse from Buddhi to Subuddhi. Subuddhi is endowed with realisation. It is being grateful at all times.   It is so important to be grateful but difficult as well. For the world is driven by self appraisals and projections. It is quite contrasting.   Looking at the creation across negative infinity to positive infinity does the job. So what am I made of? Cell? Atom? Sub-atomic particles? प्रेम सरन नगर की याद

मन मे बसाए हुए प्रेम सरन नगर की याद हम देखते हैं दिल मे जिसे बंद कर के आँख। वो उजली उजली धूप और सुहाना सा मंज़र वो दिल कश सत्संग घर वहाँ का अज़ीम पाक़।। वो उनकी मीठी करामतें , पास होने का अहसास कैसे रोके खुद को उन्हें करने से हम याद।। वो शाम की अजब शोखियाँ, रोका करें थीं इस तरह वो बात है कुछ और ही, कुछ खास है अंदाज़।। जाने वहाँ की वादियों में खींचता है कौन? जाने वो कैसी मधुर आती है आवाज़? नवाज़िशों से  तर किया ऐसे किए करम नज़रों से यूं भिगो गए प्यारे ग़रीब नवाज़।। साहब के नूर से सदा रौशन रहे नगर दया मेहर के सदा यूँ ही बने रहें रिवाज।। - पायल

The Dogma of Mathematics

I teach Mathematics to Business Administration Students. Each academic year begins with students terrified of Mathematics , hating it. I too began as a strict mathematics teacher ....only to realize that it would not work. For Maths is far more than just a subject , it is a much deeper philosophy and potent to bring people into self realization.  Why are so many children so afraid  of it? The reason is pretty much the same as it is with the religion. The custodians have made it this way. We, the teachers,  must make a conscious effort to make this subject visual and experiential. While doing so, it is most important to maintain a user-friendly interface also . This alone can help make students loose their apprehensions and anxieties about the subject and come forward to explore it in its true essence!
