"The Special Gift"
Time is going down quickly. Who am I? What is my purpose on this planet? 
me. planet. creation. 
I feel incredible being part of this beautiful creation. This is a creation with a purpose. It is a missionary creation. It has all the instruments to facilitate actions. Actions for me are the Karmas. The transactions. To be made most carefully. They must be conscious karmas. But intellect the egoist fools us into performing karmas based on Buddhi. So the quest is to traverse from Buddhi to Subuddhi. Subuddhi is endowed with realisation. It is being grateful at all times.  

It is so important to be grateful but difficult as well. For the world is driven by self appraisals and projections. It is quite contrasting.  

Looking at the creation across negative infinity to positive infinity does the job. So what am I made of? Cell? Atom? Sub-atomic particles? Who made the sub-atomic particles? Science today facilitates the realisation at nano units. Perhaps tomorrow  that limit is further increased. It sure will increase. It will keep on increasing till the time we're convinced of the fact that the whole of the creation and us are energy and energy only. And that there is a Supreme Creator behind the captivation of this energy.  He makes those packets of energy with a purpose. We are all functioning as packets of energy. Packets of different sizes. The shape, size and expiry is assigned as per the transactions made. The body is just an envelope. It may be changed.   
Someone is taking care of these transactions. We must try to know the source of the energy we're made of. The energy we are rooted in. It is all pervading. 
The concept of energy is just fabulous. It actually helps establish democracy. It is easy to treat people alike if the composition is understood. It is as if there are three chapatis of different size and shapes in my platter and I know that they are made of the same dough. The only regard is for the creator of the chapatis. 
He , Who is All Loving, All Pervading, Blissful, Source of All Energy, The Supreme Creator, Fountainhead of All Consciousness , is to be regarded at all times.  Such regard makes topographical boundaries, caste ,creed, nationality, society, manhood, animal hood, livinghood  &Non-living hood immaterial.

Let there be Maths,Language and Learning!

Just came across this book called  'Calculus Made Easy' by Silvanus P Thompson. Wonderful initiative by the author to bring maths to language and vice versa. I sincerely feel that the teachers need a connection with the students at the language front. We must put some meaningful words into their mouths to help them understand and feel what they're learning. For this we the teachers must for some time or at the onset leave the puritan approach and let our hair loose on the subject. The dogma can be easily replaced be pragma.  Language should be more connecting,  contemporary and comprehensive. For example, for a Hindi medium student entering the college , the word 'arbitrary' which is so frequently used in maths doesn't  have any meaning. He has not used it before and what he used in Hindi also did not come from the language he spoke. The Hindi word for Arbitrary is Abheesht. No better than Arbitrary for the poor soul!  Where is the understanding? So in a way...

The Dogma of Mathematics

I teach Mathematics to Business Administration Students. Each academic year begins with students terrified of Mathematics , hating it. I too began as a strict mathematics teacher ....only to realize that it would not work. For Maths is far more than just a subject , it is a much deeper philosophy and potent to bring people into self realization.  Why are so many children so afraid  of it? The reason is pretty much the same as it is with the religion. The custodians have made it this way. We, the teachers,  must make a conscious effort to make this subject visual and experiential. While doing so, it is most important to maintain a user-friendly interface also . This alone can help make students loose their apprehensions and anxieties about the subject and come forward to explore it in its true essence!
