Becoming better

This talk I watched yesterday made me happy ,so I posted it on my twitter handle. The reply (one and only) that it generated made me think why it made me happy. So, I began to sort out my happiness.
I listed what I "heard" from the talk -
a. we care for feeling like a good person and being seen as a good person all the time.
b. we work to protect the good person identity.
c. the ratio of conscious processing of information to the incoming information in the mind is really low resulting in a bounded or limited rationality.
d. this further results in unconscious bias leading to explanation of mistakes we make.
e. no challenge to good person identity so no thinking about ethical decisions and challenge to good person identity creating a narrow and petty ethical decisions.

Going over these points makes me realise that we assume some sort of 'watch' or 'camera' around us while we act in a certain way. After likening the situation with the camera, I say that it is like taking selfie , deciding the best pose, smile and surroundings and click! The picture is not real but only a very small fraction of reality.
Or suppose there is a cctv camera. The awareness of a cctv camera also induces conscious actions.  But these are limiting situations just as it is limiting to be good to one person or even one group of people. It eventually ends up hurting someone else.
Let me list out a few cases to support this-
The expense in marriages and other social functions, the extravaganza  of a protocol  or any kind of polishing act for a particular person's pleasure for that matter.

It is like basing our market or capacity on the opponent/competitor so that he becomes the driving force behind all decisions and actions! Read this in the context of Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) and the Ocean will be Red-ish . I find the Blue Ocean Strategy very Saintly and benign.
So, what is the solution? Srimad Bhagwad Gita (SBG) provides the Solution to this and how! SBG provides with a camera so big that one is aware of being watched every moment, every action of their life. SBG shifts all the focus from smallness of human beings to the Omni-present, Infinite Supreme Being. That way bad deeds become insignificant and good deeds become harmless. So, #consciousdeeds or #genericethicality or #boundedirrationality may be the hashtags. I chose bounded irrationality instead of unboundedrationality because bounded irrationality admits mistakes so we can learn from them to ensure Growth!

So, the new list vis a vis the above mentioned is-
a. we don't care for feeling like a good person and being seen as a good person all the time and dedicate all actions to Supreme Power .
b. we do not work to protect the good person identity.we work for the pleasure of Supreme Father.
c. If actions are performed with intent of pleasing the Master , the actions become conscious. Therefore, the ratio of conscious processing of information to the incoming information in the mind is optimised.
d. this further results in minimisation of unconscious bias and eradication of the need to explain the mistakes we make.
e. Challenge is completely replaced by self -evaluation.

Finally, subscribing to SBG, I dedicate these thoughts to the One and Only , the Supreme Power  and be absolved of any hurt or confusion that these thoughts may have caused!

Special thanks to Mr. Sanjeev Mathur (https://twitter.com/sanjeev2706 ) for his rhetoric reply. I must admit I am very fond of your wits and wisdom.

As far as the happiness is concerned, I sure have felt happy blogging about it!
